How it works in class

  1. Click Set up and host. Use the sample quiz, or paste your own with one question per line: Question | A | B | C | D | correct letter.
  2. Choose 15, 20 or 30 seconds per question and click Start hosting. Students type the 4-letter code and their name on their phones.
  3. Start the first question. When time is up, press Reveal to show the right answer, then Next. Quick, correct answers earn more points.

Ideas for your lesson

  • Write ten questions in a document during your planning time and paste them in as they are.
  • Run a grammar warm-up with 15-second questions.
  • Give harder end-of-unit revision questions 30 seconds each.
  • Let a student write the quiz for homework and host it in the next lesson.
  • Check homework vocabulary in five minutes at the start of class.

Why teachers use it

  • The quiz is plain text, so you can write it anywhere and paste it in.
  • Students only need the code and a name. There are no student accounts and no app.
  • Phones show when an answer is locked in, and each player sees their final position at the end.
  • It is free to try, and this link opens without an account.
