How it works in class

  1. Enter the title, author and genre, and pick any of the 20 themes that fit, such as identity, migration or coming of age.
  2. Choose the session length (60, 90 or 120 minutes), the group size and the purpose: book-club discussion or educational and classroom use.
  3. Click Generate session plan. You get timed sections with the minutes worked out for you. Print it, save it as PDF or export it as text.

Ideas for your lesson

  • Plan a lesson on a class reader with the educational purpose: warm-up, comprehension and analysis, apply and connect, then reflect.
  • Run a 60-minute book club for a small group, or 120 minutes for a large group working at tables.
  • Pick a single theme, such as justice, to keep the questions focused.
  • Press Build another, then generate again, for a different mix of questions on the same book.
  • Hand the printed plan to a student who is leading the discussion.

Why teachers use it

  • It is a starting point, not a script. The tool tells you to adapt, reorder or skip anything to follow the group.
  • In book-club mode you get an opening activity, discussion questions, a connecting activity and a closing reflection, each with its own timing.
  • Large groups get a note on splitting into pairs or small tables.
  • It runs in the browser from a built-in bank of prompts, so nothing about your group is sent to a server.
  • The interface works in English and Italian.

Frequently asked questions

Does the book need to be in a database?

No. You type the title and author yourself, and the questions are chosen by genre and theme, so it works for any book.

How many discussion questions do I get?

In book-club mode, four for a 60-minute session, five for 90 minutes and six for 120 minutes.

Which plan includes the Discussion Kit?

The Special plan (€19 a month) and every plan above it. It is not part of the free tier.

Can I edit the plan?

Use Export as text and edit it in any word processor. Or press Build another and generate again: your details stay filled in and you get a different mix of questions.
