Live Q&A Wall for Classes and Workshops

Post one open question and the class builds a wall of answers from their phones, which you can feature, tidy and export.

Open the Q and A Wall See plans and prices

Free to try with a free ABC account (two opens a day). Included in every paid plan from Basic.

How it works in class

  1. Open Host tools, type your question and an optional line of context, and click Add question.
  2. Share the link or QR code. Anyone with the link can read the wall and add a response, and giving a name is optional.
  3. The wall refreshes every few seconds. Feature a response to pin it to the top, remove any you do not want, or switch to a word cloud of the answers.

Ideas for your lesson

  • Before revision, ask: what do you still find confusing about the past perfect?
  • Post a reading-group question, then feature one answer to start the discussion.
  • Collect feedback on a project, with names left blank, and export it afterwards.
  • Keep one question per lesson; each question gets its own tab.
  • Embed the question on your class website so students can answer from home.

Why teachers use it

  • Students do not need accounts or an app. The link opens in any browser.
  • Responses are stored on the ABC site’s own server, not with an outside service, and are deleted automatically 180 days after they are posted.
  • Each response can be up to 500 characters, enough for a real sentence or two.
  • Export all responses, with names where given, as a CSV file.
  • The interface works in English and Italian.

Frequently asked questions

Can students vote on each other’s answers?

No. The wall collects responses to a question you post. You can feature one response to move it to the top for everyone.

Do students have to give their name?

No. The name field is optional, so responses can be anonymous.

Is the Q and A Wall free?

You can try it with a free ABC account, which gives you two opens a day. The Basic plan (€11 a month) and every plan above it remove that limit.

How long do responses stay online?

They are deleted automatically 180 days after they are posted. You can also delete a whole question and its responses from Host tools at any time.
