How it works
- Loan Repayment: amount, interest rate, term and an optional extra monthly payment give the monthly payment, total interest, the payoff time and a yearly schedule.
- Compound Growth: starting amount, monthly contribution, annual return and years, with an option to show the value in today’s money at 3% inflation.
- Savings Goal: how much to save each month for a target, or how long a monthly amount takes to get there.
- Budget Planner: a 50/30/20 split of take-home income into needs, wants and savings, with your own expense lines.
- Two-Futures Race: two saving plans side by side, with presets such as the cost of waiting and fees matter.
Ways to use it
- Show the cost of waiting with the Two-Futures Race in a financial literacy lesson.
- Let students build a first-job budget with the 50/30/20 planner.
- Compare a loan with and without an extra monthly payment.
Good to know
- It is for general information only, not financial advice.
- The Budget Planner saves your figures in this browser only. The other calculators save nothing.
- The charts use chart.js from cdn.jsdelivr.net, and fonts come from Google Fonts, besides www.abcwebsites.online.
