These terms apply to the ABCwebsites professional tools subscription (currently €29/month or equivalent), which gives access to the premium tools catalogue at abcwebsites.online/tools/. They are separate from the Web Design Terms & Conditions.

The service

A subscription gives you a monthly access code that unlocks 45+ classroom, language and business tools on this site. The tools include interactive polling, writing feedback, vocabulary tools, CEFR/IELTS/FCE/CAE practice, attendance, and others. Otto AI assistant features are included where available. The exact tool set may change over time as tools are added, improved or retired.

Price and payment

The subscription price is shown at checkout and charged monthly via Stripe. Prices include any applicable VAT. You will receive a fresh access code by email at each billing renewal. If a payment fails, your access code will not be renewed until payment is successful.

Right of withdrawal (EU consumers)

Under the EU Consumer Rights Directive (2011/83/EU), you have the right to withdraw from this contract within 14 days of purchase without giving a reason, provided you have not already redeemed (used) your access code.

Waiver: If you redeem your access code before the 14-day period ends, you expressly request that the service begin immediately and acknowledge that you lose the right of withdrawal for that billing period. This waiver is confirmed at checkout.

To exercise the right of withdrawal before redeeming your code, contact kyle@abcwebsites.org with the subject “Withdrawal: tools subscription” and your purchase email. Refunds are processed within 14 days via the original payment method.

Cancellation

Cancel any time by emailing kyle@abcwebsites.org or via the Stripe customer portal (link in your receipt). Cancellation stops future billing; the current month’s access code remains valid until its expiry date. No partial-month refunds.

AI-generated content (Otto)

Some tools include Otto, an AI assistant powered by an external language model (Anthropic API). Otto’s feedback and suggestions are generated automatically and may contain errors. They are teaching aids to support a qualified teacher’s judgement, not official assessments, grades or certificates. Always review AI-generated marking before sharing it with learners or parents.

Minimum age

The subscription is for users aged 16 and over. Teachers may use the tools with younger students in a supervised classroom setting; in that case the teacher holds the subscription and is responsible for appropriate supervision and any required parental consent.

Availability and changes

The tools are provided on a best-efforts basis. Planned maintenance will be announced in advance where possible. If a tool is permanently discontinued, subscribers on an annual or long-term plan will receive a proportional credit. Month-to-month subscribers are not entitled to a credit for tool removal, but can cancel immediately if the change materially reduces the service.

Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by Malta law and the EU Consumer Rights Directive, liability for any indirect or consequential loss is excluded. Our total liability for any claim relating to the subscription is limited to the fees you paid in the three months preceding the claim. Nothing in these terms excludes liability for death, personal injury, fraud, or defective digital services under the Digital Content Directive (2019/770/EU).

Governing law and complaints

These terms are governed by the laws of Malta. For unresolved complaints, EU consumers can use the EU Online Dispute Resolution platform. Malta-based consumers can also contact the Malta Competition and Consumer Affairs Authority (MCCAA).
